My proof that Dandelions are actually quite pretty.

This is probably the best one I got inside without the flash. Where I was housesitting they only heat with wood, and most of their cooking is done on the woodstove as well.

I have a very simple camera and the flash is not separate, so I just switched it off and experimented. It was a gorgeous morning with sunshine and frost.

There would have been cherries on this branch if it hadn't been pruned off. We've got bundles of them inside getting ready to bloom.

Parsley is essential at our house. This plant has been alive in our window all winter, and I am very proud of it.

These are my dill seedlings. I have no idea if people normally start dill inside but I figured it was worth a try.

So this is my old blog, but I thought I'd see if I could keep with it and just upload photos, and it seems I can. Also this is an old picture, but I hope that's okay for this week. Sarah and I went on a spontaneous camping trip(near Invermere), and forgot the tent poles. We also had to use a tire iron for one of the pegs. Seems my van has everything in it to make a camping trip work except for tent poles. It was a lot of fun and we certainly got a little silly.

Two of my three bosses have colds. I'm scared. I don't want to be sick........... My furnace is broke. I'm actually kind of hoping I can just tough it out till warmer weather. We'll see.

Okay okay. Today I brought the van across the border officially, just need to get it inspected and insured. Getting there, getting there.
My father got married today, and I was at the dinner afterwards, and last night papa told me to wear my goofy christmas hat with the bobbles on it, so I did. I'm still not sure wether he was serious, but I took him serious, because you know how I am. I only wore it a bit though, as the dinner was very fancy, candles, china, nice serving dishes, etc.....
Afterwards while Sarah and I were cleaning up we sang the last song from Phantom of the Opera lots....'learn to be lonely, learn to be your one companion.... life can be lived, life can be loved alone.' I thought it was appropriate. :)

There's something about snow. It sticks in your hair - it's beautiful. I can't think of any wonderful poetic way to describe it, but you all know what I mean.

I have 3 days off! Which means I can do all sorts of dumb things with my wrists today (like typing and playing piano) because I have tomorow to recover. :) That's the plan, anyhow.
I. Hate. Rain. In. Winter. It's pretty much the only weather that makes affects my mood. I get angry. And bitter. And start putting paper snowflakes on the windows. And listen to things called 'Classics for Winter'. Just as Kris. She knows. I was doing it last night - I even made her cut out most of the snowflakes for me.
Also, in other news, my birthday is coming up, and the plan is to go camping. I just hope it doesn't rain. GRRRRRR.

How to remember the differance between a Diatonic scale and a Chromatic scale acording to my sister.
Diatonic=diat=diet=skinnier=it's a thinner scale. Not so many notes.
