'Well, they're queer; but they're not mental,' explained Mother; adding candidly, 'Anyway, not enough to be put away.'

The far part of this barn sort of fell down last winter, but this part is still standing.
It's waiting to be torn down by the first person interested in the lumber, and I wish I had a place big enough to take it. I'd love to teach myself to make furniture with old barn wood.
What a great idea! I can see you doing that and producing some really interesting pieces. Any way you can make it work? Make something while you are housesitting and just take the lumber you need for it?
I don't know, I have a table saw(which smokes) in the sunroom here, but I don't think they have one up there, and I don't think I can transport it in my van. :) Also I really truly have no idea what I'm doing which it comes to big stuff. I'm still attempting picture frames and little shelves.

Another interesting shot...you can feel the character of the barn by this picture.
